Privacy Policy

The short version: We process your images temporarily to generate your STL file and then discard them. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. We collect the minimum information necessary to make Cuttify work.

This Privacy Policy describes how Cuttify ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use our service at cuttify.app. By using Cuttify, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the Service:

Images you upload: Images are uploaded temporarily to process your cookie cutter outline. They are held in memory during processing and are not stored on disk after your session ends.
Generated STL files: STL files generated for your session are stored temporarily on our servers and are automatically deleted within one hour.
Server logs: Our web server automatically records standard access logs, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. These are used solely for security monitoring and troubleshooting and are retained for up to 30 days.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not require you to create an account
We do not collect your name, email address, or payment information (Cuttify is currently free)
We do not use third-party advertising networks or tracking pixels
We do not build user profiles or track your behavior across the web
We do not use cookies for tracking purposes

3. How We Use Your Information

Any information we collect is used exclusively to:

Process your uploaded image and generate your STL file
Deliver the generated file back to your browser
Maintain the security and reliability of the Service
Diagnose technical issues reported by users

We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the Service.

4. Image Processing

When you upload an image, it is sent to our server where it is processed by our AI-powered outline detection system. Processing typically completes within a few seconds. The image data is held in server memory during processing and is not written to permanent storage. Once your session ends or your browser tab is closed, the image data is discarded.

5. Data Retention

Uploaded images: Discarded immediately after processing completes
Generated STL files: Automatically deleted within 1 hour of generation
Server access logs: Retained for up to 30 days, then purged

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority
Service providers: Our hosting infrastructure providers may have incidental access to server logs as part of operating the servers. They are contractually bound to protect this information
Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data (limited to the server logs described above) may be transferred as part of that transaction

We will never sell your images, your generated files, or any personal information to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect the information we process, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and server-level security configurations. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Cuttify is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Since we retain minimal information (primarily server logs), most of these rights have limited practical application to our Service. To make a request, contact us at hello@cuttify.app.

10. Cookies

Cuttify does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Our web server may set functional session cookies strictly necessary to operate the Service. These are not used for analytics or advertising.

11. Third-Party Links

Cuttify does not contain links to third-party websites for advertising purposes. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Cuttify service. Any third-party services you choose to use (such as 3D printing services or slicer software) are governed by their own privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Cuttify after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
